English to Arabic Logo Design

Adapting an English logo into Arabic is not a word-for-word translation exercise. The Arabic version must express the same brand while respecting a different writing system, different letter proportions and a right-to-left reading direction.

A successful Arabic counterpart should feel related to the original logo without forcing Arabic letters into unsuitable Latin shapes. The work may involve custom Arabic lettering, typographic modification, a revised bilingual lockup or a broader review of how the symbol and wordmark behave together.

Examples of English-to-Arabic logo adaptation

The examples below show how visual relationships can be preserved without copying Latin letterforms literally.

What should be studied?

  • Name and language: the approved Arabic name, transliteration or translated form.
  • Visual DNA: weight, contrast, geometry, terminals, rhythm and overall personality.
  • Lockup: how Arabic and English appear separately and together.
  • Symbol relationship: whether the existing icon remains unchanged or needs spacing and alignment adjustments.
  • Applications: packaging, signage, digital interfaces, social media and small-format use.

Matching does not mean imitation

The Arabic and English versions should belong to the same identity system, but they do not need identical outlines. Literal imitation often damages Arabic letter structure and produces an awkward wordmark. A stronger solution identifies the design principles behind the English mark and rebuilds those principles naturally in Arabic.
